    NOT WORTH THE MONEY

For as much as this cost the quality is HORRIBLE! Do not buy unless!

    Black soot developed inside.

I would have selected a 0 star rating if I could. I bought this kettle several years ago. It's really beautiful and works well. I used it most evenings for boiling water for tea. To clean it, I would rinse the inside with hot soapy water and rinse well. One day I used a dish rag in it and the rag was covered in black soot. I had no idea how long it had been that way. The water was alway clear coming out. I threw the kettle in the trash. I recently took a heavy metals test and nickel showed up really high so I'm thinking this may have been the reason.

    Excellent kettle. Excellent customer service.

First, love the tea kettle, but the best part about it was the customer service. I bought a kettle that was not in the box in the store in Portland, but when I got home, I saw it was damaged, which is probably why it was on the shelf. I took it to the Williams Sonoma in Bellevue, and they exchanged it without a problem. Customer service was excellent. Really appreciated the coordination between managers and employees.

    Perfection

Works beautifully. This will last a lifetime. More dependable than an electric kettle.

Quality makes it worth the price

We tried several tea kettles and they all rusted or had design flaws. Le Creuset is pricy but the design and quality will help it last for years to come.

Did they even test it before selling it?

Poorly designed in every aspect, especially for the price and reputation. Handle way too hot, can only fill 1/2 way, lid hard to get on and off, lousy pour (splashes everywhere), steam escapes all around the lid. My Nambe lasted 25 years and was better designed in every respect
