    Use & Care

    Use

    • For best results, use oil or butter that is well-suited to frying. Avoid using low-smoke-point oil and aerosol sprays that do not withstand high heat.
    • Metal housing will become hot during use. Do not touch hot surfaces.
    • Use tongs or other heat-safe utensils to remove food. Do not pour from or lift appliance.
    • Pan is especially hot when using sear mode. Use heat-resistant gloves or oven mitts to handle. Keep hands and face away from pan, as hot oil may splatter.
    • Small amounts of smoke may result during browning process. If excessive smoke or splatter occurs, turn off pan and unplug until it subsides.
    • Do not pour water or other liquid in pan when using high heat.

    Care

    • Unplug skillet and allow it to cool before cleaning.
    • Insert and lid are dishwasher safe.
    • Wipe outside clean with damp sponge or cloth.
    • Avoid using scouring pads, powders and chemical detergents.
    • Do not immerse cord, plug or base unit in water or other liquid.
    • Do not operate appliance if cord or plug is damaged, if appliance malfunctions or if appliance is damaged in any manner.

    Likely the best electric skillet!

    Wow! The GreenPan electric skillet is better than any skillet we have ever used! Even, rapid heating and a breeze to clean.

    Nice hot electric skillet

    We purchased this mainly to fry fresh fish in. We have had no luck with other electric skillets because they do not get HOT enough. When I read the description it said 500 degrees. The actual themometer on the pan says 450 but it definitely gets hotter than other skillets we have had, so I am happy with it.

    Perfect Pot

    Love the versatility of this electric skillet! I can use it for the basics like fried eggs or pancakes, plus it’s also deep enough to fry chicken or other meats, and make soup or chili.

    Not impressed. I paid around $200 and was expecting something spectacular. Performs about the same as a $50 electric skillet.

    I was to surprised by the nonstick on this skillet only because I also have the Greenpan cookware. I was also pleased with the fast heat up. I will definitely be using this skillet as often as I can. Love it!!!

    GREAT Skillet!!!

    This is a wonderful skillet but be aware - it's HUGE! The skillet would be fabulous when cooking for a large family but for my family's needs (there's only 3 of us), it's a bit too large. But I still love it and you will too.

    Great for the Home Chef!

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An electric skillet is not something I would have bought on my own but I’ve used and appreciated this so many times now! It is perfect for hosting, especially in spaces outside my home-taking it to DIY brunch, or to potlucks to warm food on the spot are two options. I love that it is nonstick - and they mean it! It washes clean (hand wash, I do not have a dishwasher). It was easy to get it set up when I got it out of the box. The heat settings take a little getting used to but range from “keep it warm” to “searing meat”. Definitely great for those just starting out or with a small cooking space!
