    Use & Care

    Use

    • Do not use the grinder without lid properly placed on load bin.
    • For best performance, operate this appliance for less than 90 seconds per grind cycle with a minimum of 90 seconds rest time maintained between two continuous cycles.
    • This grinder cannot be operated for more than a total of 6 minutes within any 10 minute time period. If the working time exceeds 6 minutes, in order to prevent overheating, the grinder is programmed to automatically shut off for a rest period of 30 minutes.

    Care

    • Before cleaning, we recommend running the empty grinder for 10 seconds to help clear beans/grounds from the burrs and grinds chute.
    • Allow parts to stop moving then unplug the power cord before cleaning.
    • Only clean the exterior of the grinder, load bin and catch with a soft, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly with a dry cloth.
    • If the grinder is used daily, the burrs should be cleaned at least every three months.
    • Do not immerse the grinder in water. Do not wash the burrs with water.
    • Using a stiff brush, gently brush coffee dust off the burrs and replace burrs following the instructions in the manual.
    • Automatic Cleaning: A fast way to clean your grinder is using grinder cleaning tablets like Urnex Grindz™ grinder cleaning tablets. These are designed to prevent clogging by freeing coffee particles stuck to the burrs and absorbing/removing odors and coffee oil residue. To use cleaning tablets, make sure all beans are run through your grinder by running it for 10-20 seconds. Use the cleaning tablet instructions to place appropriate amount into grinder. Adjust the grind setting to 11 and press the power button to run the grinder.

Retains grounds & impossible to properly clean.

Would be great if it didn't retain grounds every time. There are little pins inside that create bridging. It's impossible to take apart and clean. There's even a little inscription that says "what you're looking for", right where they could've easily added a removable piece for easy cleanout. It would be funny if it wasn't mocking a major design flaw. This thing will fail early due to smacking it to release the extra grounds. At least it wasn't as expensive as the other options. Bummer because otherwise it is perfect.

    gets very very messy

messy, just check youtube, those videos complaining about how messy it gets are true. very painful to use. fyi spray a bit moisture won't solve the issue completely. needs lots of patting and shaking (and still can't get 100% of the beans out).

    Fellow Gets It Right—Well Done!

I’ve been using the Fellow Aiden Coffee Maker and Opus Conical Burr Grinder daily for almost two months, and they’ve completely elevated my morning routine. Both look fantastic, are easy to use, and clean up effortlessly. Aiden’s presets (and surprisingly great cold brew) have helped me learn the nuances of different beans, while the Opus gives me the flexibility to fine-tune each pot for distinct flavors. I now grind my coffee fresh every time and appreciate it more than ever. Highly recommend—well done, Fellow!

AMAZING, just give it a few little taps

This grinder is AMAZING!!! I have so much control over the flavor of my coffee with it and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new grinder. The only thing I would say that it has an issue with is how sometimes grounds get stuck, so I just have to tap the machine a little so it doesn’t get on my counter. Still, I didn’t think that could take it down to a 4 star with how consistent and sleek this machine is.

    Quiet enough and good value.

Been using this for about 3 months now. Very impressed for the price. Grinds quietly enough that I can use it without waking others in the house. Good looking form and well functioning.

Solid Grinder From Course to Espresso and Everything In Between!

I would actually like to rate this 4.5 stars, but I am limited by the rating system, so I rated it a 4. Overall, it is very good. It is well designed and well made. It handles a large variety of grind sizes from very course to espresso. Static doesn't build up too well (especially if you're spritzing your beans prior to grinding) and it's easy to clean. Since this grinder is regularly used for both espresso and pour over preparations, I was hoping the grind setting would be a little more repeatable, but it feels slightly different (though, there certainly could be other factors influencing this). The grind cup has a ridge to fit on a portafilter, so you can dump the grinds right in. This would be convenient if not for making dosing by weight somewhat awkward.

It is beautiful, as is our coffee pot and my water bottle. We are saving it to use when our espresso machine arrives

Over the moon with morning coffee

The 2 features I sought in my next burr grinder: replaceable burrs and no static mess. I am over the moon with my purchase. With Opus’ refined grind options, I found a sweet spot for my elixir of choice. And it’s quiet.

Great grinder at a great price when on sale.

It’s a great grinder. Nice design as long as you don’t mind it being mostly plastic. Super consistent grind size. Can do espresso and pour over. Very quiet. I will say it retains a lot of grounds. I use the lid as a bellow to help push them through and I tap on it, but still a lot fall out of the bottom after I pull the cup out.

    Solid grinder for the price

All things considered, I'm pretty happy with the grinder, as far as pour-over is concerned. Retention of grounds can be managed with RDT, and it grinds pretty consistently. For the price, it's a pretty good electric grinder
