    Use & Care

    Care

    12-Cup Coffee Maker:

    • Grinder basket, grinder basket lid, filter basket, filter basket cover, carafe and lid are top-rack dishwasher safe. Alternatively, hand-wash in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Dry all parts after each use.
    • Do not put water in unit after grinder basket is removed. Wipe area under
    • grinder basket with damp cloth. If water gets into grinder motor, it may cause damage and malfunction.
    • Avoid using scouring agents and harsh cleansers.
    • To clean base, wipe with clean, damp cloth and dry before storing.
    • Fingerprints and other blemishes on housing can be removed with soap and water or nonabrasive cleaning solution.
    • Wipe heater plate with clean, damp cloth. Avoid using rough, abrasive materials and cleansers to clean heater plate.
    • Do not dry inside of water reservoir with cloth, as lint may remain.

    Descaling:

    • Depending on mineral content of water in your area, calcium deposits (scale) may build up in coffee maker. Though scale is not toxic, it can affect performance. Descaling when CLEAN light is illuminated helps protect heating element and other parts that come in contact with water. For optimal performance, descale coffee maker every 3–6 months. If calcium deposits build up quickly, CLEAN light will illuminate, indicating 12-cup coffee maker should be descaled. See instructions in product manual.

    Single-Serve Coffee Maker:

    • Clean housing and other external components with soapy, damp, nonabrasive cloth.
    • Drip tray and drip tray plate are dishwasher safe.
    • Avoid using cleansers, steel wool pads and other abrasive materials.
    • Caution: Handle capsule holder with care. It contains sharp needles that puncture capsule above and below. To avoid risk of injury, do not put fingers in capsule brewing chamber.
    • Capsule holder and funnel are top-rack dishwasher safe.
    • If a clog arises because of coffee grounds, exit needle and piercing needle can be cleaned using paper clip or similar tool.

    Good Coffee Maker

Love this coffee maker it would be better if the Reservoir for the single serve held more water. And there was a backup light on the clock. It's very hard to set the timer without a flashlight.

    Great Coffee Machine

A good upgrade from my old coffee maker. Grinds coffee beans, able to use the pods, easy to use and clean! Makes smooth coffee! However, the coffee grinding is lacking a bit, it doesn't grind everything and a lot of the grounded ones get stuck inside and doesn’t fall to the filter. This could be normal, but I just prefer to buy pre grounded coffee beans now.

Getting the Grind and Brew coffee maker makes life so much easier in the AM. Just put the beans and water in the night before, set the timer and go to bed..... Wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee!!

Glad to have my coffee pot back again

My coffee pot leaked and was broken. Cuisinart sent me a brand new replacement under the warranty. The coffee pot keeps coffee hot for 4 hours. It makes 12 cups with or without beans. It makes pods too for a quick cup. I'm glad to have my coffee pot back again.

Cuisinart- On Top Of Their Game!

Our Cuisinart Coffee machine was gifted to us which we immediately put to use. We were very satisfied with this machine. It’s easy to use and produced delicious coffee.

    Very disappointed

This was supposed to be an upgrade from my old click burr but I wish I had kept my old trusty coffee maker. First issue was the grinder…it was either too overfilled to make a good cup or it wouldn’t have enough and the coffee would be watery. Second issue is even cleaning it daily and no longer using the grind feature, placing ground brand in the filter to the fill line caused water to constantly spill out. Using less coffee always led to a watery pot. The frustration of spending more and never being able to make a full pot of coffee makes me want to find another coffee maker. I’m going back to my old click burr if it had not been discontinued.

    Coffee Maker

I’ve always loved Cuisinart products and I have many however this new coffee pot is the icing on the cake. Not only can it grind fresh beans to make a full pot but it can also use a pod if I only want one cup, and there are two separate water wells. I absolutely love it.

    Option

All the features on this coffee maker are why I like this machine, especially the drip, pod brew and the bold option. Only negative is it’s a heavy machine to slide on the counter.
