Broken inside mixer after 6 months :o(

I was so happy to purchase my first Smeg product, this pretty mixer in pink, replacing an old hand mixer. I used it maybe a bakers dozen times with no issue. I was making a cake this weekend and while mixing softened butter & sugar something snapped inside the mixer, the beaters stopped turning and plastic parts are now rattling around inside. I’m extremely disappointed.

Keep the Kitchen Aid, ditch the Smeg.

I replaced my 10year old Kitchen Aid hand mixer with a Smeg. A simple machine that I thought had a weak engine. It wasn’t the case and it was a mistake to get it. The Smeg over complicates itself with a timer and settings that are not necessary. One slip of a finger and the machine stops. It does not make sense and defies German engineering. But most importantly, the engine is not stronger than the old Kitchen Aid. So for a more expensive purchase that looks good, the benefits do not outweigh the practicality. Get the Kitchen Ais in a pretty color and support an American brand.

Great mixer, slow shipping

I love the mixer but it took forever to be delivered. I actually had to call because it was long so long.

Not worth it.

Came with a large scuff mark on the side of the mixer and the mixer is making a lot of noise when I turn it on. Not typical mixer noises, it sounds like grinding gears. I haven't even had it for a week, william sonoma doesnt offer returns for this so i'm stuck with this thing now. Very upset.
